Larsen Strings is a leading developer, manufacturer, and global distributor of premium bowed instrument strings for violin, viola, and cello. Founded in 1990 by violinist Laurits Th. Larsen, our company is based in Sønderborg, Denmark, where we continue to innovate under the leadership of CEO Thomas Petersen. Our unwavering commitment to quality is the cornerstone of our success.
Our Story Larsen Strings began with a personal touch-a simple request for 300 strings from an American colleague. Unable to fulfill this order through existing means, Laurits Th. Larsen took matters into his own hands, starting production from his family garage. Eighteen months later, the first perfected cello, A string, marked the beginning of our journey. Today, Larsen Strings exports worldwide, yet our commitment to quality stays as personal as it was in those early days.
