This is the way I always buy strings...It's a real cost saver, because I have 10 guitars. The bulk strings are good quality, ad a great value.
Perfect for use in other hobbies, as well

I enjoy several hobbies, and one of them requires precise, small diameter wire. These .008 plain steel guitar strings are absolutely perfect for one of my projects. It has worked so well, I have ordered again to stock up. Great price in bulk.
Pros
  • Strings are in a sleeve that is then coiled, so strings are not tangled and easy to remove from sleeve.
  • Nicely attached to wire ball end.
  • Good quality wire.
Good strings, but there is an issue

I find that these bulk single strings are about as good as the name brands, with one minor exception. With the last few batches of light plain strings I’ve experienced slipping at the lock twist at the ball end. This occasionally happens when bending an .008 or .009 string more than a full step. Some people would use a soldering iron to secure the ball end, but I’ve found that the solder doesn’t stick very well to the highly polished metal. I’ve found a much easier method of keeping the ball end on the string. I just put a little bit of super glue on the place where the string is twisted to the ball end. If you don’t flood the string with glue it dries in under a minute and I haven’t had any more trouble with strings unraveling at the ball end.
Pros
  • Sound very good. Intonation is fine. They are durable with the exception noted above.
Cons
  • Light gauge plain strings sometimes slip at the ball end, and I have to superglue them before installation. That
Hard to find strings in bulk...

I have not used them yet but I'm sure they will be fine. It was hard to find a bulk of .008's. If you ever get .007's please let me know.
Pros
  • You provide the strings where where other companies did not.
Cons
  • I can't see any.
Did not give 5 star because I have only had them a week and want to see how they last.

I have only used these strings a week and I can say I like them but did not give 5 star because I have not had them long and want to see how they last before I give them a top 5 star rating.
Pros
  • They seem to be stable and retain tuning after installation.
Cons
  • None yet.
A great source for all you custom string enthusiasts! I recommend every gauge they sell!

If you want your own gauges of strings on your axe and you can't just ask a big company to send you some, you need a company that is in the business of selling them to anyone that wants them. That anyone would include most highly skilled players, I believe. Many of us use different gauges on different guitars--and I don't mean the just the difference between just electric and acoustic guitars. Even if the initial stringing of a guitar can be done with a packaged set, those of us that bend strings (and some of us that don't) need somewhere to access the strings whose breakage indicates replacement of a single one ore two strings, not the entire set. Just Strings fulfills this requirement. That have excellent inventory, excellent quality, along with swift processing and shipping. What a value! Inputting "single strings" or "single string packs" onto major music supplier's websites usually draws a: "not found" quote, even if it later turns out that they do sell some, meaning, some gauges, but not others. You have to persistently and incisively google the search terms to locate the few companies that have some. Just Strings has just about all of them! If a player wants to experiment with different gauges what is he/she supposed to do at a site (this's most of them) that sells, or at least seems to sell, only packaged sets? Buy a hundred dollars or so's worth of varying packaged sets just to experience differing gauges? Its not reasonable and its not what the skilled players or the pros do. A company found on a few major sites selling single strings confounded me in the past because, since I bend strings like Albert King, they were not binding the strings at the ball end tightly or permanently enough--they were coming unbound (unwound at the ball joint) while I was playing! I tried to re-bind them (didn't work, I tried to crazy glue the bindings (that didn't work either). For a great long time, I didn't know where I could find a bulk-pack alternative. This is what eventually led me to find Just Strings via its website on the internet. I certainly does have a great name, along with great products.
Pros
  • Quality, availability, cost, swift processing & shipping. Also, the packaging per bulk string pack in the sealed, long straight (not crimped into a small circle) uncrimped containers that involve bending during storage (theirs and yours), and minimal bending during shipping. When you install a string that's spent minimal time stored bent in a small circle, it will tune up and stay in tune much faster. I strongly believe the sound is better as well.
Cons
  • None.

Ordered some 08 gage replacement strings. I could not believe how inexpensive they were. Even with the shipping it came out to only 80 cents a string. Super fast shipping, arrive in 3 days. I referred you to two of my sons who also play guitar.
I will definitely be a repeat customer.

My first order was in January of 2015 and I just re-ordered the strings. (in bulk of course)

The strings are as good as any I've ever used and the prices are the best.

I could have used you katz in the 1970s, when I restrung "mah horn" every 10 days. (them waz sum hard road days)

The quality of your products and prices can't be beat. The bulk strings are excellent quality and sound great. National thumb picks are the standard for all other thumb picks and price was great. I use your micro-fiber cloth to wipe down my instruments after each use, works great. Thanks,

I like to change individual strings sometimes and of course it's nice to have singles for when you break strings so you don't have to bust up a new set. Been happy with these plain steel strings and they're an excellent deal.

I ordered this string in bulk because I
figured that I might brake another one
of these. It sure beats having to restring
the entire guitar. These are good strings.
I am very satisfied.
