The brand name "Pirastro" emerged in the 1890s when Gustav Pirazzi, the founder's grandson, partnered with Theodor Strobel. Today, the company remains family-owned and is led by the sixth generation, Eva Pirazzi and her husband Volker Müller-Zierach, alongside their children Annette and Henning.
